Katya graduated from Technion were she made her MSc degree in chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Zeev Gross. She obtained her PhD from Bar-Ilan University in the research laboratory of Prof. Moshe Lellouche. In February 2015 she joined the group of Prof. Silverstein as a post-doctoral researcher.
Now her research interests focus on developing new types of polymer-based materials for controlled-release applications encapsulating different fillers within HIPEs as well as developing nitrogen-rich carbons via HIPE templating.
